Kansas Wesleyan Men's Tennis fell to the Bethany Swedes on Thursday inside at Genesis Salina 6-1.
The match was originally scheduled to be played outdoors at Salina Tennis Alliance, but early morning storms forced the movement inside at Genesis.
Bethany won the doubles point by winning two of the three matches. KWU won once match as
Adam Hanson and
Paul Jittawait beat Francisco Bravo and Martin Priban 6-4. In the other matches, Sebastian Stipanov and Gustavo Cardoso beat
Dawson O'Donnell and
Alex Sherer 6-4; and Dylan Gwilt and Diego Bsereni beat
Gavin Chavez and
Jacob Phelps 7-5.
In singles, the Coyotes got one win as
Adam Hanson beat Bsereni 8-4. Bethany would get wins in the other matches as Bravo beat Sherer 6-4, 6-2; Stipanov beat O'Donnell 3-6, 6-4, 6-1; Priban beat Jittawait 6-2, 6-2; Cardoso beat Phelps 6-2, 6-2; and Gwilt beat Chavez 9-8.
The Coyotes are back in action on Saturday hosting matches against Southwestern and Baker.
