Carter Allen was named the KCAC Player of the Year and Coach
Bill Neale was named as the KCAC Coach of the Year as the conference released the 2026 All-KCAC Baseball selections.
The All-KCAC Baseball Teams were selected from a vote of the conference baseball coaches.
Neale earned his third KCAC Coach of the Year honor in the last four years. He led the Coyotes to a 32-4 record in the conference season, winning the KCAC Regular Season title by seven games over second place Ottawa. He helped the Coyotes end the season leading the NAIA in several statistical categories. Under his direction, the Coyotes won the KCAC Tournament for a second straight season and the KCAC Regular Season for a fourth straight year. The Coyotes made their fifth straight appearance in the NAIA Opening Round, hosting the tournament for the first time in school history. He picked up his 400
th overall career win earlier in the season and his 400
th win at KWU as well.
In addition to being named the KCAC Player of the Year, Allen was named First Team All-KCAC at the catcher position, but split time during the season between catching and as designated hitter. In conference play, Allen hit .431 for the Coyotes ranking third in the KCAC. He led the conference in hits with 66, homeruns with 19, and slugging average at .882, and was second in RBI with 57.
Chris Finocchario was named to the First Team at outfield. He ranked second in the KCAC in conference play with 17 homeruns and had 51 total hits which ranked No. 10 in the conference. He was third in the conference in RBI with 53 and had a .837 slugging average which ranked third in the conference.
In 10 starts for the Coyotes in conference play,
Shaw Lee went 5-1 and earned First Team All-KCAC honors. Lee pitched 59.2 innings in conference play and had a 3.47 ERA that ranked fourth best in the conference. He ranked No. 14 in the conference in strikeouts with 42 and ranked No. 19 in strikeouts per nine innings at 6.34. He had a 1.29 WHIP which ranked fifth in the conference.
Leading the KCAC in appearances during conference play,
Riley Gwin was named to the First Team All-KCAC as a relief pitcher. Gwin appeared in 22 games for the Coyotes during conference play, posting a 7-1 record for the Coyotes. His seven wins tied for the most in the conference. In 46.1 innings pitched, he struck out 52 batters which was fifth best in the KCAC and had a 10.10 strikeouts per nine average which was third best in the KCAC. He had a WHIP of 0.91 in conference play led the KCAC.
Zac Goldenberg was a Second Team All-KCAC pick at catcher for the Coyotes. In conference play he hit .333 for the Coyotes in 25 games played. He drove in 36 runs in KCAC play which ranked No. 18 in the conference.
Fernando Ruvalcaba was named Second Team All-KCAC at first base. He ranked No. 14 in the KCAC in homeruns with eight during conference play. In conference play he hit .353 for the Coyotes which ranked No. 25 in the KCAC and hit 14 homeruns for the Coyotes which ranked fourth in the KCAC in conference play and he also ranked fourth in the KCAC in RBI with 51. His 47 hits ranked No. 16 in the conference and his .729 slugging average ranked eighth in the conference. He also excelled on defense for the Coyotes, carrying a .981 fielding percentage with only six errors in 321 chances. His efforts earned him the KCAC Gold Glove at first base.
Niko Olson was a second team pick at shortstop for the Coyotes. He hit .400 during the conference season from the leadoff spot in the lineup, ranking No. 9 in the conference in batting average. He ranked No. 19 in the KCAC in on base percentage at .494. He had 11 doubles during conference play which ranked No. 11 in the conference.
Logan Arndt hit .386 for the Coyotes ranking No. 12 in the KCAC in batting average earning Second Team All-KCAC honors. He ranked No. 13 in the KCAC in hits with 49 and No. 21 in RBI with 31. He had 11 doubles which ranked No. 11 in the conference and slugged at .614 which ranked No. 21 in the conference.
Thalen Wright was a Second Team pick at starting pitcher for the Coyotes. In 10 starts, he posted a 4.33 ERA which ranked No. 7 in the KCAC. He threw 52 innings which was No. 12 in the KCAC and struck out 36 which ranked No. 20 in the KCAC. He had a 1.33 WHIP which ranked No. 6 in the KCAC.
Blake Dale earned Third Team All-KCAC honors at second base. He hit .286 for the Coyotes in conference play, and slugging at .554 which ranked No. 37 in the KCAC. His 37 hits ranked No. 39 in the conference and his 14 doubles ranked No. 5 in the conference. Dale was also excellent on defense with a .992 fielding percentage in 128 total chances.
Garrett Garfield was named Third Team All-KCAC at utility player. Splitting time at catcher and third base, Garfield hit .333 for the Coyotes appearing in 27 conference games. He had 29 hits and slugged at .586 ranking No. 25 in the conference.
Yamka was a third team pick at starting pitcher. He had a 5.61 ERA in eight starts with a 4-2 record. He ranked No. 11 in the KCAC in wins. He had a 10.87 strikeouts per nine innings which was one of the highest in the KCAC this season.
Daniel Turnham was a third team pick at relief pitcher. In conference play he had 11 appearances and a 2-0 record in 14.1 innings pitched. He had two saves on the season and struck out 19 batters against just two walks.
Kansas Wesleyan captured its fourth straight KCAC Championship this season with a 32-4 record, winning the conference by seven games.
