Three Coyotes named to NAIA Baseball All-America teams

Kansas Wesleyan University had three Baseball student-athletes earn NAIA Baseball All-America honors as announced by the NAIA National Office and selected by the Baseball All-America Selection Committee.
 
Carter Allen and Riley Gwin were selected as First Team NAIA All-Americans and Chris Finocchario was selected as a Third Team All-American.
 
The trio helped the Coyotes to a 50-9 record overall, the first 50-win season in program, a fifth-straight berth in the NAIA Opening Round and a fourth-straight KCAC regular season championship.
 
Allen was one of the top players in the NAIA in 2026. Overall he hit .419 for the Coyotes ranking No. 17 in the NAIA. He also ranked third in the country in total hits for the season with 104, one of only five players to have over 100 hits in the season, he ranked ninth in the country in RBI with 79 and slugged at .758 which ranked No. 23 in the country. He hit 22 homeruns overall on the season which ranked No. 8 in the NAIA.
 
Gwin was the top reliever in the NAIA this season. He had 32 appearances on the season which was the most in the country. He had five saves which was tied for the lead in the NAIA. His 80.1 innings pitched was the most innings thrown by any reliever in the country, ranking 37th among all pitchers. His 9.97 strikeouts per nine innings ranked No. 54 among all pitchers, and led the country among relief pitchers and his 89 total strikeouts also led the country for relief pitchers and ranked No. 31 among all pitchers. His WHIP of 0.92 for the season ranked No. 2 in the NAIA.
 
Finocchario ranked No. 10 in the country in homeruns with 20 while hitting .342 for the Coyotes this season. He had 68 hits on the season, drove in 65 runs which ranked No. 35 in the country and slugged at .714 which ranked No. 43 in the country. He also was excellent on defense making several outstanding catches in center field to help keep runs off the board for the opponents.
