Women’s Volleyball picked sixth in KCAC Preseason Coaches poll

Kansas Wesleyan Women's Volleyball was picked to finish sixth in 2026 in the KCAC as the conference announced the Preseason Coaches Poll as selected by the conference coaches.
 
The Coyotes received 107 points in the poll, narrowly edging out Ottawa with 104 points.
 
Defending conference champion McPherson College was the preseason favorite amongst the conference coaches earning 167 points and 11 of 14 first-place votes.
 
Oklahoma Wesleyan was picked second with 156 points and three first-place votes, Bethel was third with 140, Evangel was fourth with 136 and Saint Mary was fifth with 114 to round out the coaches top five picks.
 
KWU was sixth, followed by Ottawa. Sterling was eighth with 81, Tabor ninth with 72, Friends 10th with 66, Southwestern 11th with 42, York 12th with 41, Bethany 13th with 30 and Avila was 14th with 17.
 
The Coyotes will open the 2026 season on August 20 in the Our Lady of the Lake Halo Classic in San Antonio. KWU will take on William Penn at 5 p.m. on August 20, then play two matches on Friday and Saturday.
 
Wesleyan's home opener is August 28 as the Coyotes host a two-day quad with Stephens, Ottawa and Oklahoma City at Mabee Arena.
