Walker Torrain

Walker Torrain has been a coach at Kansas Wesleyan since August 2021. He joined the program as a graduate assistant defensive line coach and video coordinator, and switched to the offensive side of the ball in 2022, where he coached the running backs. He also serves as the equipment manager for the Coyotes.

Torrain helped lead KWU to an 8-3 regular season in 2022 and coached junior Nickolas Allsman to First Team All-KCAC and sophomore Mark Benjamin to Second Team All-KCAC accolades. As a defensive assistant in 2021, junior Cole Parker became a unanimous First Team All-KCAC selection and an honorable mention all-American.

Prior to coaching at KWU, Torrain served as a student assistant coach at Midwestern State University, a Division II program in Wichita Falls, Texas, from 2019-20. 

Torrain graduated from Midwestern State in August of 2021 with a bachelor of science degree in sports & leisure studies and is working towards his MBA at Kansas Wesleyan.

Torrain is a native of McKinney, Texas, and a McKinney High School graduate.
