Kansas Wesleyan Men's Tennis enjoyed several strong performances during a busy fall season.
Student-athletes competed in 110 singles matches and 42 doubles matches over the course of the fall season.
BETHANY INVITATIONAL – Sept. 6-7
The Coyotes opened the fall season playing in the Bethany Fall Invitational.
In singles in the A Draw,
Raul Davalos-Gavino lost to Kyosuke Ishida of Sterling 8-4, but came back to win the next two matches, defeating Diego Infante of Doane 8-5 and Ko Osuga of Tabor in the consolation final 8-7.
Jacob Phelps lost to Jose Purizaca of Doane 8-2.
In the singles B Draw,
Paul Jittawait beat Sterling's Alex Gaboardi on a retirement, then lost to Bethany's Martin Priban.
Adam Hanson beat Doane's Andre Hartman 8-0, then lost to Yohann Molle of Sterling on a retirement.
In the singles C Draw, Paulo Cattani-Martini lost to Elliot Dassel 8-1.
Luke Craft advanced past Bethany's Carlos Rodriguez on a retirement, then lost to Adam King of Sterling 8-2, then beat Dassel 8-2 in the third place match.
In the singles D Draw,
Gavin Chavez lost to Julio Avila of Doane 8-4, then lost to teammate
Jack Hanson 8-5 in the consolation final. Hanson lost to Bethany's Daniel Lozano 8-5, then beat John Ferley of Tabor 8-4, and Chavez.
In the singles E Draw,
Andrew Wise beat Amare Campbell of Bethany 8-1, then lost to Abhyudit Nagar of Sterling 8-3. He then lost to Marko Djukic of Sterling 8-3.
Felix Rodriguez beat Tabor's Collin Branham 8-5, then beat Djukic of Sterling 8-5 to reach the draw final where he lost to Nagar 8-6.
In the singles F Draw,
Austin Harden beat Theo Jones of Doane 8-4, then lost to David Garces of Sterling 8-0, and then lost to Doane's CJ Jensen in the third place match 8-2.
Zachary Daley lost to Robin Baransi of Sterling 8-1, then beat Gannon Mosher of Bethany 8-0 and Jones of Doane 8-0.
In the doubles A Draw
Luke Craft and
Adam Hanson beat Gaboardi and Ishida of Sterling 8-7, then beat Osuga and Jake Goertzen 8-5, then won the draw beating Louis Boisdenghien and Adam King of Sterling 8-5. Davalos-Gavino and
Jacob Phelps lost to Boisdenghien and King 8-7, then lost to Osuga and Goertzen 8-4.
In the doubles B Draw,
Jack Hanson and Cattani-Martini lost to Yohan Molle and David Garces of Sterling 8-4, then beat Andrew Hartman and Elliot Dassel of Doane 8-6. Paul Jittwait and Benamin Cechak beat Dassel and Hartman 8-5, then lost to Sterling's Pedro Filipoff and Rubem Bogomoltz 8-3 and then beat Molle and Garces 8-7.
In the doubles C Draw,

KCAC FLIGHTED CHAMPIONSHIPS – Sept. 13-14
In the No. 1 singles draw,
Raul Davalos-Gavino lost to Bruno Suiama of Friends 8-2, then lost to Ko Osuga of Tabor 8-5.
In the No. 2 singles draw,
Gavin Chavez lost to Oscar Giorgio of Ottawa 8-0, the beat Caige Bjornstad of Avila 8-1.
Luke Craft then came over from No. 5 draw and lost to Jake Goertzen of Tabor 8-5.
In the No. 3 singles draw,
Adam Hanson beat Southwestern's Jeremiah Jones 8-4, then lost to Daniel Marcano of McPherson 8-3.
In No. 4 singles,
Paul Jittawait got fourth, opening with an 8-0 win over Avila's Beau Burget, then beat Nicholas Sprenger of Sterling 9-7. He lost to Oscar Brouwer of McPherson in the semifinal 8-1, then lost the Bernardo Figueriredoof Ottawa 8-5 in the third-place match.
In No. 5 singles,
Luke Craft lost to Santiago Garcia of Saint Mary 9-8, then moved into the No. 2 bracket to face Goertzen.
In No. 6 singles,
Jack Hanson finished second. He opened with a 9-8 win over Connor Fitzsimmons of Friends, then beat Luis Figueiredo of Ottawa 8-3, then beat Balazs Temesvari of McPherson 8-6. In the finals he lost to Moses Sawatzky of Bethel 3-1, 6-3.
In No. 1 doubles,
Raul Davalos-Gavino and
Jack Hanson beat Francisco Bravo and Zeke Mumford from Bethany 8-5, then lost to Petr Kollar and Jorge Batista of Bethel in the semifinals 8-1. The duo then took third place on a default victory.
At No. 2 doubles,
Adam Hanson and
Luke Craft beat Martin Priban and Carlos Rodriguez of Bethany 9-7, then lost to Bill Haoda and James Menard of Bethel 8-5. The duo earned third place with a 9-7 win over Alex Gaoboardi and Abhyudit Nagar of Sterling. Additionally,
Zachary Daley and
Felix Rodriguez played a match in the bracket, falling to Kale Groff and Cam Julian of Southwestern 8-2.
At No. 3 doubles, Jittawait and Chavez beat Cash Harrison and Nathan Bartlett of Oklahoma Wesleyan 8-0, then lost to Auron Hoyer and Connor Fitzsimmons of Friends 8-0.
ITA CENTRAL-WEST REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP – Sep. 20-22
In the round of 64,
Raul Davalos-Gavino lost to Marcos Menendez-Hervella 6-3, 5-7, 10-8, and
Jacob Phelps lost to Youssef Boubaker of Mount Marty 6-2, 6-1.
In the consolation bracket, Davalos-Gavino lost to Rodrigo Sanchez-Hurt of Bethel 8-6.
In doubles, in the round of 32,
Luke Craft and
Adam Hanson beat Vinicius Costa and Tiago Galoppo of Evangel 8-6, then in the round of 16 beat Arthur Nardy and Jayson Wassefuhr of McPherson 8-5. In the quarterfinals, they lost to Ben Starman and Joren Stevens on Midland 8-3. In the round of 32, James Menard and Billy Haoda of Bethel beat Ravalos-Gavino and Phelps 9-8.
The remainder of the ITA was washed out due to rain.

In the third round, Chavez lost to Pablo Rivest of Mount Marty 8-1, and Marshall lost to Abishek Mohapatra 8-1.
In the consolation bracket,
Dylan Dodds lost to Carlos Rodriguez of Bethany 6-2, and
Zachary Daley beat Ruben Bogomoltz of Sterling 6-2.

Jack Hanson beat Bethel's Jordan Twenter 8-3, then lost to Will Orgizovich of Saint Mary 8-5.
In the B Draw,
Zachary Daley lost to Noah Baiani of Saint Mary 8-3, then beat Elijah Glissen of Evangel 8-4 and then beat teammate
Andrew Wise 8-1. Wise lost to Jacob Bush of Friends 8-2, then beat Elias Harder of Bethel 8-6.
Jacob Marshall beat Harder 9-7, then lost to Bush 8-5, then beat Amos Harder of Bethel 8-5.

Dylan Dodds picked up wins over Gannon Mosher of Bethany 8-2, and Demitri Serrano of Saint Mary 8-3.
PRATT DOUBLES TOURNAMENT – Oct. 4
Raul Davalos-Gavino and
Paul Jittawait beat Sixto Colobart and Simeon Latinchev of Pratt CC 8-4. They then lost to Naoya Fukumoto and Andrea Torrini of Newman 9-8, and then lost to Duvan Torres and Alexis Mattenberger of Emporia State 8-3. They then beat Francisco Ubeda and Trevor Sweat of Newman 8-2.

Zachary Daley and
