Tuesday, October 1 the Purple team traveled to Oklahoma Wesleyan University and dominated play with a 4-0 victory.  Goals were scored by four different players.  Player of the match was senior midfielder, Joaquin Toledo, who scored one of the goals and also suited up for the varsity match against Tabor the next day.
 
The Purple team traveled to Bethel on Thursday, October 3 and dominated play but scored only one goal. Junior striker, Ramon Avelar scored a beautiful goal to seal the win.  Player of the match was freshman midfielder, Vincent Pertusot.
 
On Sunday, October 6 Both Purple and Gold traveled to play two matches against Allen Community College.  "Beautiful weather, great facilities at Allen and lots of soccer made this Sunday special." -Coach Bruce Palmbaum  
 
Purple took the field first and won the match 7-1. Senior midfielder, Gus Celiz notched 3 of the first 4 goals and was named player of the match.  Senior midfielder, Carlos Fenton controlled the game at midfield from the start and freshman goalkeeper, Angelo Giron had an excellent game in the nets for the Coyotes.
 
Gold played the second game earning a 5-1 victory with 2 goals coming from senior striker, David Periera.  The Coyotes scored on 3 corner kicks by Senior midfielder, Tristan Baysadde.  Players of the match were the defenders, who locked down the talented Allen team and gave them just a few chances.  The defense includes, Sophomores Tommy Becerra, Nico Horvat and Toby Malone and freshmen Mario Young, Jack Thomas and Trevor Peal.  
 
The Coyote development teams are idle this week and play at home against Central Cristian College on Monday October, 7 at 6:00 PM in McPherson, KS and University of Saint Mary on Tuesday October,8 in Leavenworth.
