Kansas Wesleyan Men's Tennis closed out the fall portion of its schedule with the KCAC Invitational hosted by Bethel College and the Coyotes had a pair of teams compete at the Pratt Doubles Tournament in Pratt.
Paul Jittawait earned the consolation bracket championship in the A Draw. He opened with a loss to Kazuki Fukushima of Sterling 8-6. He then won the next three matches, beating Pedro Melo of Bethany 6-1, Rubem Bogomoltz of Sterling 6-4, and Baransi of Sterling 7-6 (7-4 tiebreaker).
In the A Draw,
Porter Anderson went 0-2 dropping matches to Pedro Felipoff of Sterling 8-1 and Robin Baransi of Sterling 6-2.
Adam Everett earned fourth place in the B Draw. He started with an 8-3 win over Ryan Langdon of Saint Mary, then lost to Leyton Ross of Saint Mary 8-5, and then lost to Anthony Davies of Bethany 8-5.
Drake Karr went 1-1 in the B Draw. He won against Demitri Serrano of Saint Mary 8-4, then lost to Alessandro Maccioni of Bethany 8-5.
At Pratt, the duo of
Jacob Phelps and
Gavin Chavez lost to Oscar Brouwer and Von Woleslagel of McPherson 8-6.
Adam and
Jack Hanson lost to Sam Dinneen and Hendrik Hildesheim of Pratt 8-3, then lost to Tiaan Nelson and Vincent Gazzini of Pratt 8-4, but closed out with a win over Balazs Temesvari and Ayden Johnson of McPherson 9-7.
The Coyotes will start the spring portion of the season in early February.
