Kansas Wesleyan University Baseball is hosting the KWU Junior College Classic on October 2 and 3 with games at both Dean Evans Stadium and Pestinger Family Field at the Berkley Family Recreation Complex in Salina.

There will be a total of 15 teams attending the event from Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Colorado.

"We did a single day classic last year and it went really well," KWU head baseball coach
Bill Neale said. "This year we decided to expand it and make it a 2-day event that brings nearly 600 players to Salina. It's another way we are showing our commitment to the City of Salina by showcasing our outstanding facilities here and getting these players and families to experience Salina."

Games will begin at 10 a.m. with four sessions of games each day.
