KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas Wesleyan seniors Aliyah Wood and Ansdiane Rabano claimed the final weekly awards of the 2026 NAIA Women's Flag Football Season after guiding the Coyotes to a 46-6 win in their season finale over Graceland (Iowa).
For Wood, the April 21 selection as NAIA Offensive Player of the Week is her second of the season, collecting the same honor March 31. This week, she did it in record fashion.
Wood caught 13 passes for a school-record 204 yards, catching three touchdown passes in the 40-point win, becoming the first receiver in school history to go over 200 yards in a game. She's also just the second NAIA receiver this season to top the 200-yard mark. She closed the regular season second in the NAIA in total receptions (111) and fourth in receiving yards (1,068), one of only five NAIA receivers to top 1,000 yards in 2026.
While Wood was impressive on the offensive side for the Coyotes, Rabano anchored a Kansas Wesleyan defense that surrendered six points and only 254 yards of total offense. Rabano recorded six flag pulls and a sack that went for a loss of 11 yards for the Yellowjackets.
KWU is the No. 3 seed in this week's KCAC Tournament, taking on Southwestern (Kan.) at 3 p.m., Friday, April 24, in Ottawa, Kan.
