Kansas Wesleyan Baseball completed a sweep of the Southwestern College Moundbuilders on Saturday, taking both halves of the doubleheader 11-7 and 10-3 at Dean Evans Stadium.
 
The Coyotes complete the regular season and head into next week's KCAC Tournament at Dean Evans Stadium with a 43-6 overall record and a 32-4 mark in the KCAC and are the No. 1 seed in the tournament.
 
The Coyotes also continued their hot streak, extending the winning streak to 16 games and have scored 10 or more runs in six straight and nine of the last 10 contests.
 
In the opener the Coyotes jumped on the board early as Niko Olson walked but was retired on a fielder's choice by Carter Allen. Allen then stole second before Fernando Ruvalcaba singled. Chris Finocchario then reached on a fielder's choice that yielded a run thanks to a Southwestern error.
 
Blake Dale then drove in two runs with a ground-rule double to make it 3-0.
 
Southwestern took a 4-3 lead on a grand slam in the second and added a run in the third to push the lead out to 5-3.
 
The Coyotes got one back in the fourth on Logan Arndt's solo homer to lead off the inning.
 
The Moundbuilders got the run back in the fifth, but in the bottom of the inning, the Coyotes would grab the lead. Finocchario singled to start the inning, Dale walked, and both runners stole bases setting up Joe Finder's RBI single.
 
Arndt drove in a run with a sacrifice fly, Zac Goldenberg doubled to set up Tyler Nordyke's RBI single and Olson's RBI ground out to make it 8-6 Coyotes.
 
 The Coyotes added two more in the sixth. Goldenberg reached on a fielder's choice but an error on the play allowed Finder to score. Olson later drove in another run with a single to make it 10-6.
 
Southwestern got a run in the seventh, but the Coyotes had a response from Ruvalcaba who hit a homer to right field to make it 11-7.
 
Five different players had two hits for the Coyotes. Riley Gwin got the win,  going five innings in relief of starter Thalen Wright. Gwin allowed two runs and five hits and struck out six. Wright went four innings allowing five runs on eight hits.
 
In the second game, the Coyotes put five on the board in the first inning on the way to the 10-3 win.
 
Olson and Allen singled to lead off the first and Ruvalcaba walked to load the bases. Finocchario drove in two with a single and Dale followed with a walk to reload the bases and Finder brought in a run with a groundout. Arndt then followed with a 2-run single to make it 5-0.
 
Southwestern got three runs in the third to make it 5-3.
 
The Coyotes got a run in the fourth as Olson singled to score Lakin Franz who was running for Goldenberg who was hit by a pitch earlier in the inning.
 
The Coyotes added four more in the fifth. Finocchario walked followed by back-to-back doubles by Dale and Finder. Arndt singled to bring in another run. The Coyotes added two more in the inning on Allen's 2-run single.
 
Wil Yamka got the win pitching the first inning only as it was designated by the KWU coaching staff before the game in preparation for next week's KCAC tournament. Connor Rhorer went four innings, allowing three runs on three hits. Isaac Hawthrone and Daniel Turnham pitched an inning each.
 
The KCAC tournament starts Wednesday.
