MANHATTAN – Kansas Wesleyan Men's Golf hosted the Midwest National Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Colbert Hills, and the Coyotes would come away with a third place finish at the event.
The Coyotes beat multiple ranked teams in the field.
Wesleyan finished the tournament with a three-round score of 888 with rounds of 296, 295 and 297.
KWU was seven shots behind Hastings, but finished eight shots better than Grand View.
Leading the way for the Coyotes was
Joey Wisocki finishing fourth with a score of 217.
Hank Reeg tied for 11th with a score of 223,
Jackson Malone tied for 15th with a score of 224,
Derek He was 26th with a sore of 229 and
Kaden Mellott tied for 42nd with a score of 240.
KWU also had three individuals in the tournament led by
Hunter Newell tied for 38th with a score of 239,
Alex Gallegos was 56th with a score of 254 and
Logan Martin was 57th with a score of 272.
Missouri Valley was the team champion with a score of 864. The Vikings' Joaquin Raminger shot a 10-under 206 to win the tournament by three shots.
Up next for the Coyotes is the Fremont Hills Classic in Nixa, Missouri next week.
