Men’s Soccer picked fourth in KCAC race in Preseason Coaches Poll

Kansas Wesleyan was picked to finish fourth in the 2026 KCAC Men's Soccer season as the conference coaches conducted their Preseason Coaches Poll announced by the conference office.
 
The Coyotes earned 114 points in the poll narrowly behind York in third place with 114. The Coyotes were well ahead of Southwestern in fifth with 106.
 
Oklahoma Wesleyan was the preseason favorite earning 156 points and 12 first-place votes as only 13 coaches submitted ballots and coaches cannot vote for themselves.
 
Ottawa was picked second with 143 points and one first-place vote.
 
York was third, followed by KWU and Southwestern in fifth to round out the top five picks.
 
Friends was sixth with 94 points, McPherson was seventh with 87, Saint Mary was eighth 86, Tabor was ninth with 83, Evangel 10th with 58, Bethel 11th with 50, Sterling 12th with 37, Avila 13th with 34 and Bethany was 14th with 16 points.
 
The Coyotes will open the 2026 season on August 22, hosting Briar Cliff at 1 p.m. at JRI Hospitality Stadium at the Graves Family Sports Complex.
