SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Kansas Wesleyan Women's Golf opened its 2025-26 season on Monday and Tuesday at the Lila Frommelt Classic hosted by Briar Cliff University. The Coyotes earned fourth place finish at the tournament.
Monday's first round was played at Two Rivers Golf Course and Tuesday's second round was played at Green Valley Golf Course.
Chaney Littell paced the Coyote finishers in the tournament, tying for sixth place with a 164.
Ryann Warren tied for 15
th with a 170,
Savanna Nickum tied for 19
th with a 173,
Emily Stamper tied for 36
th with a 181, and
Magen Dow tied for 40
th with a 183.
The Coyotes shot a 685 for the tournament, with a 345 in the first round and a 340 in the second and were just three shots behind Northwestern who posted a 682 for the tournament.
Iowa Western CC was the tournament team champion with a score of 654 for the tournament. Concordia (Neb.) was second with a 658, and Northwestern was third with a 682. Briar Cliff was fifth with a 688 to round out the top five team finishers along with KWU.
Iowa Western's Olivia Holyoak-Church was the individual champion of the tournament with a score of 155. She bested Emery Custer of Concordia by three shots. Concordia's Maddie Lewis was third with a 159, Morningside's Macy Button was fourth with a 161 and Iowa Western's Jennifer Cho was fifth with a 163 to round out the top five individuals.
The Coyotes will be back in action next week at the Crestview Fall Classic hosted by Friends University at Crestview Country Club in Wichita.
