The Kansas Wesleyan Women's Golf team hosted the Central Plains Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Salina Country Club.
Emily Stamper tied for first at the event, but lost the scorecard playoff to determine the individual winner of the tournament.
Players also had to finish the round in a downpour that made finishing the final hole difficult.
Only six players from three teams played in the tournament due to some last minute cancellations by teams slated to bring a full compliment of players.
Stamper tied with Southwestern's Anna Kate Ownbey as both shot a 157 for the tournament. Ownbey was award the tournament winner on a scorecard playoff.
Also competing for the Coyotes was
Madelyne Ponce who finished fourth with a score of 196 for the tournament.
The Coyotes are back in action on October 12 and 13 at the Evangel Fall Invitational in Joplin, Missouri, before wrapping up the fall portion of the schedule on October 19 and 20 at KCAC Match Play in Dodge City.
