WICHITA – Kansas Wesleyan's
Jackson Malone and
Joey Wisocki were part of a 4-way tie for first after 54 holes, but lost in a playoff leading the Coyotes to a fourth place finish at the Crestview Fall Classic on Monday and Tuesday at Crestview Country Club.
Malone and Wisocki both shot a 211 finishing in a tie with Baker's Gavin Dines and Friends' Joshua Rowe after the completion of the tournament. The quartet headed to a playoff hole which was won by Dines.
Hank Reeg tied for 12th with a 220,
Hunter Newell tied for 49th with a 238 and
Kaden Mellott was 51st with a score of 240.
The Coyotes were just two shots out of third place as they finished with an 877. Kirkwood Community College was the team champion with a score of 865. Friends' B team was second with an 869. Baker was third with an 875. Crowder College was fifth with an 889.
The Coyotes return to action next week, hosting the Central Plains Invitational. This year the tournament will be in Newton at Sand Creek Station due to construction at Salina Country Club.
