NEWTON, Kan. – Kansas Wesleyan Women's Golf finished third out of six competing teams at the Bethany College Classic on Monday and Tuesday at Sand Creek Station.
The Coyotes finished with a score of 684 for the tournament with back-to-back rounds of 342. KWU was just one shot behind Friends in the standings, and six shots off the leader, NCAA Division II Newman.
Chaney Littell and
Ryann Warren led the way for the Coyotes tying for second place with a score of 161.
Kelsey Essex tied for 20th with a score of 179,
Emily Stamper was 25th with a score of 183 and
Savanna Nickum was 26th with a score of 184.
KWU finished three shots better than Texas A&M Texarkana and Willam Penn who both carded a 687.
Bella Callaba of Newman was the individual champion with a score of 159.
KWU is at the Fremont Hills Classic in Nixa, Missouri next week.
