SEWARD, Neb. – Kansas Wesleyan Women's Indoor Track and Field competed in the final meet of the 2024 calendar year on Saturday at the Concordia Early Bird inside Walz Fieldhouse. The Coyotes came away with more outstanding performances heading into the semester break.
Joni Schroeder won the mile run with a time of 5:32.05 and
Makayla Little was second with a time of 5:58.54.
Lauryn Mikkelson was third in the 600m run wit ha time of 1:46.05 and
Ava Kenyon was fourth in 1:46.75.
The 4x400m relay team of
Lauryn Mikkelson,
Joni Schroeder,
Ava Kenyon and
Mayce Russell set a new school record with a time of 4:15.19 while finishing fourth.
Emma McAlister was fifth in the 1000m run with a time of 3:30.33.
Mayce Russell was ninth in the 400m with a time of 65.07 seconds.
Elizabeth Stout was ninth in the shot put with a mark of 11.87m, and
Aunisty McNeal was 15
th with a mark of 10.72m.
Markyla Shaw was 14
th in the long jump with a mark of 4.70m.
Markyla Shaw finished 17
th in the 60m dash with a time of 8.30 seconds.
Markyla Shaw finished 21st in the in the 200m with a time of 27.96 seconds.
Elizabeth Stout was 20
th in the weight throw with a mark of 12.36m, Roselyn Torres was 2
8th with a mark of 10.80m and
Aunisty McNeal was 31
st with a mark of 9.59m.
The Coyotes will return to action on January 11, heading to Crete, Nebraska for the Scott Nisely Memorial Classic.
