Competitive Cheer finishes seventh at KCAC Championships

LEAVENWORTH – The Kansas Wesleyan Competitive Cheer team finished in seventh place at the KCAC Competitive Cheer Championships held on Friday at the University of Saint Mary.
 
The Coyotes scored a 58.56 in the preliminary round, and scored 55.12 in the final round for a composite score of 55.98.
 
KWU finished ahead of York University who had a score of 50.92.
 
University of Saint Mary was the KCAC Champion with a score of 86.70. Friends was second with an 80.73, Avila was third with a 72.26, Ottawa was fourth with a 68.37, Sterling was fifth with a 60.13 and Bethel was sixth with a 57.98.
 
The Coyotes had one All-KCAC honoree, as Oriana Botz was named to the honorable mention team.
