McPHERSON – Kansas Wesleyan Competitive Cheer competed in two rounds of competition on Saturday at the Dog House Classic in McPherson.
KWU finished fifth in the first round and fourth in the second round.
In the first round, the Coyotes had a score of 51.25 and were fifth out of six competing teams. McPherson was first with a score of 82.87, MidAmerica Nazarene was second with 78.38, Sterling was third with 63.78, Oklahoma Wesleyan was fourth with 55.87, followed by KWU and York was sixth with 35.77.
In the second round, KWU had a score of 54.00 and finished fourth. McPherson was first with a score of 83.80, MidAmerica Nazarene was second with 73.68 and Oklahoma Wesleyan was third with 55.73.
The Dog House Classic competitions were the final competitions for the Coyotes ahead of next week's KCAC Competitive Cheer Championships at York.
