Competitive Cheer places fifth at Coyote Classic

Kansas Wesleyan hosted the Coyote Classic Cheer and Dance competition on Friday night in Mabee Arena and the Coyotes would placed fifth at the event.
 
Seven teams competed in the competition, including Oklahoma City who placed eighth at the NAIA National Championships a year ago.
 
OCU was the winner of the Coyote Classic with a score of 91.15. McPherson was second with a score of 77.5, Langston was third with a score of 75.25, Friends was fourth with a score of 71.8, KWU was fifth with a score of 71.6, Sterling was sixth with a score of 68.6 and Concordia (Neb.) was seventh with a score of 60.16.
 
Up next for the Coyotes is the Benedictine Classic on February 15 in Atchison.
