Competitive Cheer finishes sixth at KCAC Championships

YORK, Neb. – Kansas Wesleyan Competitive Cheer posted a sixth place finish out of eight teams on Saturday at the KCAC Championships hosted by York University at the Freeman Center.
 
KWU scored a 66.97 in the preliminary round and finished with a final score of 66.28 after the finals.
 
Saint Mary was the KCAC champion with a score of 91.3025. Avila was second with 89.095, Friends was third with 83.9425, MCPherson was fourth with 80.4825, Sterling was fifth with 78.39, followed by KWU.
 
Oklahoma Wesleyan was seventh with 63.665 and York was eighth with 38.715.
 
Three KWU athletes were named to the All-KCAC Cheer teams. Alayna Scott and Oriana Botz were named to the Second Team and Kyiella Kindlesparger was named honorable-mention.
