WICHITA, Kan. – The Kansas Wesleyan Competitive Cheer team opened its 2026 season on Friday evening at the Friends Falcon Invitational hosted by Friends University at the Garvey Center.
 
The competition ended up as a dual between KWU and Friends. Friends was the winner with a score of 81.15. KWU had a score of 65.73.
 
Coming up next for the Coyotes will be the Coyote Classic on January 30, starting at 4:30 p.m. inside Mabee Arena. It is the lone home competition of the season for the Coyotes.
