Jerry Jones Kansas Wesleyan Coyote Athletic Hall of Fame
Kansas Wesleyan University revived baseball in 1966 after a 19 year absence. President Harold Morrison and baseball chairman Ron Walsh of the Coyote W-Clan headed up a fund drive to found the team and purchase uniforms. Athletic Director Gene Bissell appointed Ken Cochran as Head Coach. In their returning season, they finished 8-2 in conference and 12-6 overall. Their first loss in the playoffs was by one run after 11 innings of baseball. The roster included two seniors, eight sophomores and six freshmen.
