At KWU, Dibbini was a two-time All-Conference, All-Region, and All-American. In 1997, Dibbini was ranked number two in the NAIA for goals scored and offensive points. He was also named to the NAIA Academic All-Region team in 1997 and the National Small College Athletic Association Player of the Year in 1997.

After graduation, Dibbini was the Boys' and Girls' Soccer Coach at Salina Central High School from 1999-2006. In 2006, he was named the AVCTL Division I Coach of the Year. In 1999, he received the Kansas State Youth Soccer Boys Coach of the Year award.

Mike returned to Kansas Wesleyan as the head men's and women's soccer coach in 2005 and has led the teams to several KCAC Championships during his tenure as head coach.
