Amy was the Kansas Wesleyan University Athlete of the Year in 1980 and 1981. She was also the Most Inspirational Athlete in track in 1981. Amy lettered all four years in basketball and track. She was All-KCAC in basketball for four years, and Amy was All-KCAC in five track events for three years.  During her senior year, Amy was All-KCAC in seven track events.
