Larry spent two championship seasons at KWU for Coach Ken Cochran with teams earning the title of co-champions in 1967 and KCAC champions in 1968. Larry led the team in scoring (16.7) and rebounding (9.8) as a senior. He was unanimous All-KCAC his senior year and first team All-KCAC as a junior.
