Dennis was a four year starter for coach Bissell on the offensive line. During the final two seasons, Dennis was named All-KCAC first team, and his senior year he was NAIA All-District. The Coyotes won the KCAC in 1969 and were KCAC champions again in 1971 as Dennis became a student assistant line coach for Coach Bissell.
