Bob lettered four years in football and started three years as quarterback, leading the team in passing three of the four seasons. He was co-captain of the 1969 KCAC Champions, who were the winners of the Northern Division of the conference and winners of the first Division Play-off in KCAC history. Bob earned a reputation as one of the top high school basketball officials in Kansas. Since graduation Bob has been an elementary teacher in the Salina School District.
