Orville was a workhorse blocker for Coach Mackie’s powerhouse running teams. He was a four year starter at end and tackle, playing both offense and defense. Orville did not get the media attention of the backfield during those years; however, he was nominated for the KWU Hall of Fame by his backfield teammates. He played on the undefeated KCAC championship team of 1931.
