As a lineman for the Coyotes, Les earned four letters. During his junior and senior seasons, KWU won KCAC championships. As a sophomore and junior, Les was named All-KCAC second team. Then as a senior he was selected to the All-KCAC first team and named to the College Little All-American third team.
