Melissa (Blair) Schwieger had a phenomenal career for the Coyotes from 2011 to 2014. She ranks fourth in KWU career history with 1016 kills, one of only five players all-time with 1000 or more career kills. Her career attack percentage of .291 ranks third best all-time. She is also the career leader in blocks for the Coyotes with 531, which includes a school record 467 assisted blocks, and 64 solo blocks which ranks ninth best all-time. Her 1.01 blocks per set average ranks fifth-best all-time.
 
She was a two-time Honorable Mention All-KCAC pick in 2011 and 2012, second-team All-KCAC in 2013, and was the 2014 KCAC Player of the Year, a first-team selection, AVCA All-Region and Honorable Mention All-America.
 
She was a key role player on the 2011 KCAC Championship team that won the KCAC tournament, and the NAIA Opening Round to become KWU's first-ever team to reach the final site. She also was a key player on the 2014 KCAC Championship team.
