Jerry Jones Kansas Wesleyan Coyote Athletic Hall of Fame
Ray played for Coach Mackie’s 1927 KIAA Champions and for the first KCAC Championship in 1929. Ray was chosen to the all-state team in 1927 and named honorable mention All-KCAC in 1929 as a junior. During his football career, he twice scored three touchdowns in a game, against Bethel as a freshman and again as a senior against Ottawa. When he graduated, Ray was the second leading scorer in KWU history with 164 points (67 rushing and 2 receiving-all touchdowns).
