Jerry Jones Kansas Wesleyan Coyote Athletic Hall of Fame
Self-proclaimed as the finest long range shooter ever to attend KWU, Ring-Eye Dave might have been right. Playing before the three-point line came into existence, Dave’s outstanding shooting was good for 503 baskets in 1986 and earned him NAIA All-District and All-KCAC honors. He was named to the District All-Star game won by the West team for the first time. Deadly at the free throw line, Dave ranked third in season free throw percentage (.865), fourth in senior scoring (503), and fifth in season scoring. David was selected Co-MVP and Co-Captain of the 1986 Kansas Conference Champions. He is a member of the 1980’s KWU Team of the Decade.
