He helped lead the Coyotes to the 1999-2000 KCAC Championship with a 12-4 record. KWU set a then-school record for wins in a season with 25 in 2000 going 25-9 on the way to capturing the 2000 National Small College Athletic Association National Championship. Turner averaged 16.05 points per game for his career including a 17.3 per game average in 1998-99. His scoring totals ranked in the top ten of each class'records, currently ranking No. 3 as a junior and No. 9 as a junior. His 552 points as a junior ranks No. 9 all-time. Turner still holds the all-time record for career 3-pointers and the top two marks for season 3-pointers. His single game record of ten 3-pointers made against Bunker Hill College on March 6, 1999 in the NSCAA Tournament still stands. He was Honorable Mention NAIA All-American in 2000 and a two-time NSCAA All-American. He was twice named to the All-KCAC team. Turner is currently the head coach at Lanphier High School in and has led his team to back-to-back city championships.
