During his four years at KWU, Bill lettered four years in basketball. The Salina native was a starter on the 1950 KCAC Championship team and was also a co-captain. Bill was selected second team All-KCAC in 1951. Following graduation, Bill taught and coached at the high school level for almost forty years. Two Kansas State Track titles and over 200 victories by the basketball teams he coached are in his resume. Bill retired from coaching and teaching at Salina Sacred Heart High School.
