Jerry Jones Kansas Wesleyan Coyote Athletic Hall of Fame
Greg played basketball for the Coyotes for four years, lettering all but his freshman season. During his sophomore and junior campaigns, Greg led the team in scoring, field goal percentage, and rebounding. During his senior season, he led the team in rebounding, was second in scoring, and third in field goal percentage. Greg earned All-KCAC honors his Sophomore, Junior, and Senior seasons, and All District 10 NAIA First Team his Junior season. Watson still has some of the top marks in Coyote Basketball history Greg trails only Tracy Rietzke in season field goal percentage (60.9%), and ranks third in career field goals (508), seventh in career points (1206), and eighth in season field goals (210). While at KWU, Greg also lettered in track and football. Greg spent 20 years (1992-12) as the Director of Recreation for the Illinois Department of Corrections, organizing a wide variety of activities, including varsity and intramural sports. He has been officiating high school football and basketball for the past seven years.
