The 2007 Kansas Wesleyan Women's Soccer team had the greatest run of any KWU Women's Soccer team to date. The Coyotes posted a 21-2-1 record overall and a 9-0 record in the KCAC, the second of three straight perfect runs through the KCAC schedule. To say the Coyotes cruised through the KCAC schedule would be an understatement. KWU allowed just one goal in conference play all season long, a single tally in cleanup time of a 9-1 thrashing of the Bethel Threshers. KWU won the KCAC Tournament for a third straight year tying McPherson 1-1 and advancing 3-2 in a penalty kick shootout. A week later, KWU faced McPherson again in the last-ever NAIA Region IV Tournament Semifinals beating the Bulldogs 1-0. KWU faced region power Park in the finals, blanking the Pirates 3-0 to reach the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championships for the first time, becoming the first KCAC Team to ever reach the National Tournament since it began in 1984. The Coyotes beat Embry-Riddle (Fla.) 2-0 in the First Round, but fell to No. 4 ranked Concordia (Ore.) 2-0. The Coyotes set a school record 18-game winning streak that season and had a school record 18 shutouts. The Coyotes rewrote the record book in 2007, literally, setting seven new team records and Heather Muilenburg set a new record for points in a season with 53. Head Coach Mike Dibbini was named KCAC Coach of the Year for a third straight season and was also named the NSCAA Great Plains Regional Coach of the Year, Muilenburg was the KCAC Offensive Player of the Year, Kat Benton was the KCAC Newcomer of the Year and Marisa Brownell was the KCAC Defensive Player of the Year. Muilenburg, Benton, Brownell, Eliana Parada and Janna Macy were First Team All-KCAC selections and goalkeeper Kelli Beatty was a surprising Second Team All-KCAC selection despite leading the NAIA in goals against average at .071. All six players were also named All-NAIA Region IV and Honorable Mention NAIA All-Americans.
