Nancy was very active in volleyball three years, softball two years, and cheerleading three years. She was a charter member of the first women’s athletic squad at Kansas Wesleyan University. Following graduation, Nancy taught and coached in the Salina public schools. Nancy remains active in volleyball and softball and says she is the “certified practice person in soccer, basketball, and softball for her daughters.” Nancy is the daughter of Gene Bissell, long-time football coach at KWU.
