Jerry Jones Kansas Wesleyan Coyote Athletic Hall of Fame
At the end of the 1956 football season, Larry had set records in season total yardage (1491), season rushing yardage (1432), season scoring (19 touchdowns), most yards per carry (8.5), and season 100 yard games (7). Larry led the nation in both rushing and scoring as a senior. He was named Little College All-American. His 44 points set the basketball scoring record for a single game. Larry was also an outstanding hurdler, setting the KWU record for the 220 yard low hurdles (24.8). He won the KCAC high and low hurdles three times each.
