Jerry Jones Kansas Wesleyan Coyote Athletic Hall of Fame
LaTishia Wheaton was an outstanding three-sport athlete for the Coyotes. She set the KCAC women’s record in the 100m and 200m in track and field and still holds the 100m school record at 12.13 seconds. She qualified for NAIA Nationals in the 100m as a freshman and was the 1991 NAIA District 10 runner-up in the 100m and 200m after winning the KCAC 100m and 200m as a freshman in 1991.
She earned Honorable Mention All-KCAC honors as a senior in volleyball.
Wheaton also played basketball for four seasons at KWU, set a then-record of 82.3 percent field goal percentage in a 1994 game against Colorado College.
