Jerry Jones Kansas Wesleyan Coyote Athletic Hall of Fame
Gene lettered at Kansas Wesleyan University in football and golf. Throughout his high school basketball coaching career, he has won nearly seven of every ten games played and has qualified for the KSHSAA State Basketball tournament many times. Widely recognized as one of the best basketball coaches in Kansas, Coach Hansen is especially known for developing athletics for college competition; and as a basketball counselor, his reputation as a clinician has spread throughout the Midwest. Gene Hansen’s players both revere and respect him as a teacher, coach, motivator, and gentleman.
