Stan set KWU records in the shot put and discus, but his greatest days came long after attending KWU. At the age of 82, Stan won the World Masters Championship in the shot put, the discus, and both the 35 and 56-pound weight throw. Competing in the Masters division weight classes, Stan set over 100 records in the shot put, javelin, discus, hammer, weight throws, and the decathlon.
