Manfred played on two Kansas Conference Championship teams in basketball, 1967 and 1968. He was an All-KCAC first team selection. Despite playing only three seasons, he was the second all-time scorer (1231). Other rankings included second career field goals (503), seventh career rebounds (560), and second in career field goal percentage (503/1031.488).
