Coach Gene Bissell called John “Probably the best defensive tackle in District 10 during the 1970’s.” John was named first team All-KCAC twice, honorable mention All-KCAC once, and first team All-District twice. During his four years as a letterman, the Coyotes were twice KCAC Champions.
